Will Sorrell is married to Sarah Catherine, calls Birmingham home, and is passionate about the intersection of faith and finances. Will’s responsibilities include shaping OneAscent’s values-based investing framework, overseeing macroeconomic research, and serving advisors as they serve their clients. Prior to joining the OneAscent, he worked in the commercial banking and business-as-mission sectors.
Will earned a joint-MDiv and MBA from Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School and Brock School of Business, respectively, and a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama. He is a CFA Level I candidate and has written for numerous faith-based websites and blogs, including The Gospel Coalition.
Outside of work, Will enjoys being outdoors with family, barbecuing with friends, and reading theology, poetry, and fiction. He is an active member of Grace Fellowship, where he oversees courses on and liturgical implementation of faith and work theology, writes for the Grace Writers’ Collective, and teaches children’s church. He also preaches monthly at the Jimmie Hale Mission.
